Hi,
I'm new to BMW's but have aquired a T reg 318i - it has most extras, but the alloys are quite ugly. Acould anybody recommend a good starting point to set about getting some replacements - I'm on a tight budget with this one so looking at second hand.

Many thanks,
Dave

Autotrader - there is always someone selling because they have upgraded. Alternatively try scrappies that have the latest BMW wheels taken from wrecks...

Have a look on www.bmwcarshowroom.com

They always have plenty of second hand alloys for sale.

Happy hunting.

I may be selling my genuine M3 Evo 'Motorsport' alloys, as could have some 18 inch Alpinas coming. Price is circa 600 on ebay for a similar set. Good Eagle F1 rubber on them. Should be able to let you have them a bit cheaper if you were interested and my Alpinas turned up.

Many spoke alloys normally look quite trick on german cars (don't know why they just do) I have a set of 17" Oz Racing Super turismo on mine.

Domster,
What size 18"Alpinas are you getting? (width). I looked at a set from Motorforce (Alpina originals) and they suggested that the rears were the same width as the fronts 7.5 I was told that I could not go over 235 width tyres on the rear basically loosing out on the 245 width as standard on the original 17" and hence, loosing grip at the rear. Not good with 321 bhp (+/- 5% for flywheel/air temp differences, etc.)

Have you sourced set of wider rear rims?

Hi M3EVO,

I do not have too many details, I'm afraid, as a mate has them and just said they were 'Alpina 18's' and that if they fitted I could have them for a good price. Sorry can't be more of a help. Maybe Alpina themselves could help? Part of the Sytner group if I remember...

Cheers
