There is broken glass left inside the passenger door on my 535 (you can hear it when closing the door). New glass has been fitted but whoever did it obviously couldn't be bothered to hoover up the remains of the old window
I want to remove the door card and vacuum the inside of the door, but it is fitted with side airbags. Is there anything I need to do to de-activate the bag before trim removal, or do I not need to worry?

Thanks!

Keep the ignition off and disconnect the battery-this will stop any faults being logged.

Be gentle with the airbag connector. If you have the old airbag with the yellow connector just prise off with a screw driver,if you have the later with the black connector you need to prise the centre bridge up-hard to explain but this is a bridge that has 2 plastic pins in it which pushes a bridging connector apart in the air bag and holds the connector on(antistatic).Chances are you have got the early one
