Can some one please tell me how the hell to replace the Pollen filter on a e36

Its in the drivers footweel,left hand side.
You need to remove the lower trim panel,kick panel several phillips(some with coloured covers to match the trim on them to pop off-one by 'a' pillar/door opening,2down either side of steering wheel column).
Remove the plastic footwell heater vent on the left above your head(plastic clip/spike holds it in),then towards the back of the heater box-baulkhead area,there is a long ish plastic panel about 20mm wide with a turn knob in the middle of it-twist and remove-the filter is in there.
When fitting the new one you need to snap the sections-you will see on the new one and the old one what I mean

have right hand drive car will filter still be in left side

Yep-drivers side footwell by the clutch pedal-lefthand side of it

But as our cars are RHD it's easier because you don't have to muck about with the glove-box. Still a bit of a fiddle as I recall...I've only done it once on an E36.

If you e-mail me I have a couple of photos of what you'll see in a RHD car when you're doing it.
