How do I get dash apart?

2005 X5 with Nav 16:9

Trying to get at the strip with the switches for heated seats, reverse park front sensor overide, DCS etc at the bottom of the main dash below the a/c controls.


Does anyone know how to get it out?

I'm going to take the screen out to connect the aux input lead that I've bought and I think I would like to mount the plug socket in that strip next to the heated seats control button for easy access.

It may just pop out with a flat screwdriver but I'm scared to try incase I mark anything.

Gently prise out the heater control panel...Press the switch pack in and lift out through the heater panel hole.
