scratchchin Can anyone recommend any tuning companies to remap or chip a 535d Sport. I am aware of Superchips, but apparently the increase is only 30 - 40 horse. Ideally looking for a bigger increase but with similar reliability to Superchips.
thumbup Thanks in advance for any advice, Adrian.

A full remap on your car is very very effective, drop us a mail if you would like info / prices, all our work comes with before and after dyno runs so there’s no doubt exactly what has been achieved.

E-MAPS have quite a good reputation amongst BM owners, they're popular for both diesel and petrol remaps. http://e-maps.co.uk/

Had my 535d done by DMS: absolutely brilliant! They are the way to go. Price is quite high but regarding the result absolutely ok! Friend of mine in Switzerland did it for his X5 d and he is very happy too.

thumbup DMS sounds favourable, what was the increased power taken to and how much is quite high? Cheers.

Price: between 800 and 1'000 Pounds. I think, it's 800, when you travel to them, otherwise 1'000. With warranty, that the upgrade is undetectable)

Whomever you go with you should search through the UK forums and see who people in exactly your position have gone with and their personal experiences. You'll find some people will swear blind that who they've gone with is the best and the others are evil personified! Ultimately you should go with whoever gives you the most confidence in themselves, a lot of people have chipped the 535d and there's a lot of comments on it to guide you, you need to read it all so you're informed as much as possible. Whilst chipping is not the crime manufacturers will lead you to believe, there have been some quite horrific experiences in the hands of some companies, however you rarely here them now.

thumbup Thanks for all your advice and recommendations fellas, I think I need to get some quotes on the cost of the modification and the uprated power figures from the above listed companies first, cheers Adrian. smokin

Morning all,
Was intereted to read this thread. If I understand it correctly, I could but a 530d/535d spend a grand getting it chipped or remapped, and gain "almost" M3 performance. Would I be way off the mark here? Was thinking about an E46 M3, but have always liked the 5 series shape.

Many thanks for any advice.

I'm looking at DMS or e-map for my 535d....

If I upgrade the CIP once the remap has been applied, will it overwrite the remap?

thanks

Think it will but DMS will come back and reload free of charge, so Im told.

Best £1000 odd pounds Ive ever spent. Car goes like a jet aircraft now, and like Ive said in previous threads it will run with an E60 M5 yet still turn out 30-35 mpg.

Its a no brainer really.

My god those boys at DMS know how to charge, they wanted £700 to do my Z4 yikes, Chipped UK did it, including the de-limit, and charged me less than half what DMS wanted, the results are superb with my car and I know of many other satisfied customers on www.bmwland.co.uk, and to cap it all they come to you door to do it....

Calm down, you don't need to keep plugging them whenever DMS is mentioned, i'm sure the chap will do his research and go with who he decides are suitable for him
