It's a bit Stiff!
Discussion
Afternoon all, hoping someone can advise here please.
A friend has just bought a nice 325i Conv but it has a very stiff (oo er!) drivers door handle, starts to lift ok but is very tight in the opening of the door.
Is this common and is it a case of lubing or adjusting?
Thanks in advance for any advise.

2 faults we get-the door handle linkage siezes and the lock mechanism siezes.
With the window up you need to try and lubricate in behind the handle-if you have a 4mm allen key to remove the lock barrel next to the handle(blank if its the N/s door)to find screw, open door and lift up the end of the scraper seal(up above the door latch).Removing the lock gives you good access to the handle mechanism.
If that fails you are going to need to take the door card off and door membrane, side airbag and the window to get to the lock mechanism and handle.
This is not an easy job as it requires the window glass to be re aligned-this is a difficult task and easy to get wrong.
Good luck!
