Took these phots after a weekend of cleaning. The paint looks like new if not better thanks to a clay bar and Zaino Z5 polish. Even the wheels look like new I am now converted to clay bars, was always very sceptical.

Nice one, but get some decent brakes on it!

Looks lovely!

I'm assuming your car was already totally swirl free?

A couple of tips with 'Zaino' for the future...

Firstly, if using Zaino be sure to get the surface as swirl-free as is humanly possible. Don't rely on 'clay-straight-to-Z5 etc' Z5/Z2/Z2pro etc have virtually no filling properties whatsoever. If you still have ANY micro-marring these Zaino products can actually end up accentuating them!

On certain colours Z2Pro (plus ZFX at circa £22.00 for 2ml yikes) is better than Z5...which was an earlier product. Nevertheless, on some colours I still feel Z5 works better.

Good job! Congrats!

If you look closley you'll see it has slotted discs, the only indication it has the Stoptech Stage 2 upgrade kit installed

Still got a few swirl marks, but not as nearly noticeable now. Next time I'll use something inbetween the Z5. Thanks for the tips.

I meant proper brakes, not just a disk & pad upgrade, that kind of power deserves some AP's

I disagree My Z4 already out braked my mates M3 and that was before the upgrade, maybe the M3 is cries out for new brakes, I don't know. But I do know BMW generally have good brakes out the box. You also have to remember 330s and M3s weigh around 200kg more than a Z4. Plus the car is only for road use, it will never be tracked, so heat dissipation is not so much of an issue.

On the same topic, I would highly recommend Axxis Ultimates if you can put up with the brake dust.

Would like to know more about your car, I have recently bought the same car and am looking to upgrade later this year with a supercharger, who did yours for you?, power? driving? performance? fuel ?, and what are the discs you have, Thanks.

Car looks good.

The supercharger kit is simply aweseome. Kit is putting out 440NM and between 355bhp & 370BHP. Maximum boost is generated at just 2000rpm with the new twin screw system. The best bit is it drives just like a naturally aspirated car with no sudden power surge like with a turbo, the torque is just always there, instantly! Obviously the power increase is very very noticable.

I had it installed at my local BMW independent gargae. It can be done as a DIY, but I didn't fancy it.

Fuel consumption has obviously increased day to day driving. I used to get 28mpg true, not computer, I not get around 26.5mpg, not bad for a 50% more power and torque. On a good constant run I can still get around 36+mpg

See here for the brake kit. www.stoptech.com/products/stage1_2_upgrades.shtml

I assume you've been on www.z4um.com ??
