320D M-Sport??
Discussion
Had a 320d Sport auto for a day while my 330 was having some work done.. I expected to be disappointed with performance, but was somewhat surprised... It seemed to only feel slightly slower 0-60 and the in gear acceleration felt almost as good as my 330...
I would have to say I was impressed and like you am considering one as a work car next time around, given the MPG, tax and insurance costs vs 330... More money into my e-type fund..
Looking at BMWs website the new 320d coupe seems a blinder given its 177 BHP ,145g emissions and 51.4mpg combined economy, in fact they seem almost unbelievable... Checking the VCA website the 320d coupe with auto is in the Band C VED £110 category...
For me the heart seems to rule the head and I still don't think I can go with out the 6 cylinder..

Have a 320CD now had a E46 330 Coupe previous, wish i'd have brought the CD in the first place pleasure to drive and I also thought i'd never be without a straight 6 cylinder.....
Won't bother me again though, although do have a motorbike for the summer as well.

Alpina D3's worth a look, lots of kit and an extra 36 bhp too
