Dent repair and some paintwork (SE London/NW Kent)
Discussion
Hi all,
Some kind soul opened their car door into mine recently qith a force that would make arnie proud
resulting in a vertical dent around 3-4inches long and some paint chipped back to the metal. The dent is about 5 inches from the font of the passenger door and goes across the door-line crease that runs the length of the car under the wing-mirrors (if that makes sense).
There's also some scuffing to the paint on the mirror
Looking to get this repaired by asap and, following recommendations here and elsewhere for BMWISE in Bexleyheath, got them to give me a quote... £475 + vat (all in - paint, labour etc)
Does this sounds reasonable or a little excessive? I don't mind paying extra for a good job (and I've been told good things about BMWISE), but just wanted an opinion before I commit?
If it makes any difference, the car is an E36 cab in Techno Violet...
Cheers in advance

Sorry to hear about the damage!
I can also recommend BMWise, in fact my car is going in for an Inspection II with them tomorrow!
However, it never occured to me they might offer bodyshop services so when someone keyed the whole length of my car (rear & front wings and passenger door) I ended up taking it to Jones & Evans, just off Birkbeck Road, Sidcup. To repair the damage and fix a couple of tiny dinks in the door (from the window motor going kapput) cost me £306 inc VAT. It's an excellent job and a completely invisible repair even in bright sunlight. I have no problems recommending them.
Just thought, I didn't realise BMWise had a spray shop, you sure they aren't subbing it out?
Good luck!

Was speaking to Michael about this, i think that they sub it out to a Fully featured paint shop with Citeron workshop.
He was confident that if you wasn't happy with it, it will go back again until it's perfect for you.
