Z3 Plates

Thought I'd make my first post a spectacularly mundane one, hopefully it might muster a response though

My dad's just got a Z3 and wants to put his own plates on there...front ones easy enough but the back ones are stuck on good and proper...any tips on getting them off, preferably intact?
