Just return from test driving a '04 plate 330i sport saloon, it's an auto with about 34,000 miles, black leather, sat nav, tv, b/tooth, HK sound, heated seats but not electric, 1 owner with history, the wheels need re-furbing and 1 or 2 other little details need attending to but the dealer says these will be taken care of, they are asking £19,000 for it, was wondering if this sounds about right and if there is anything in particular I need to be looking out for, thanks in advance.

Seems expensive to me.
New shapes, albeit poverty spec, are low £20s now.

You'll lose a huge amount on a £19k E46.

too expensive, a good 330i can be bought for £13k.

any more and you should take a look at an e90 330i se.

you can buy a brand new 335i se (twin turbo) for £26k from broadspeed

kart66,

That does seem a little dear. I'd not fancy spending more than £15k on a late E46 330i even with that mileage/spec. My 330i Sport is a little heavy on the miles at 120k and on an 02 plate. However it was 60% cheaper than the one you're looking at. Food for thought?

In its favour the spec on this car is pretty good, Sat Nav, TV and Harmon Kardon sound system are pretty rare on a 330.

Its mileage and the fact it's one owner also go well for it. You also have to take into account where its coming from, if it's from a BMW dealer with the package they offer, and the peace of mind that brings, then the price may not be too bad. It just depends on your attiude to risk ,and how much haggling can be done.

£27500 last time I looked I think, unless they've dropped even more (which would be good, as I'm after one at the moment!)

assume the price must have gone up since you ordered then (or maybe you just haggled harder, and got them to knock more off!).

Enjoy!!
