Hoping someone can help....

I returned to my parked 2002 E46 and the nearside wing mirror had been broken, and the outside casing cacked. I sourced a replacement unit from FAB Recycling (www.fabdirect.com) who I can wholeheartedly recommend for an excellent service and wonder if anyone has any adivce on how to fit it.

I think I would be ok to fit it but I don't want to damage the trim getting the broken one off.

Any advice please?

Thanks!!!

not sure if its similer to replacing a wing mirror on an E38, but it does involve taking the door card off, unhook the wires and find the bolts to undo the mirror from the door. no fiddly bits so you just need to take your time.

have a look at www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do .if you know the last 7 digits of your chassis number them type it in, othewise just go through the menu. it will give you an exploded diagram which make diassembling it a little more clearer

Hope that helps a bit
