Engine conversion

My friend has an E36 328i Sport BMW Automatic and he converted the car till Manuel now the car cut’s out at 5000rpm that is her on the Limiter,

What would be wrong???

He also has changed the Wiring loom and has disconnected 1of the brains but car is still the same, car normally changed gear in the automatic box at 5000rpm if that helps??

engine dme is looking foe signal from autogearbox ecu.
he will either need engine dme/ecu reprogramming or another ecu from manual car only problem with this is the the ews system
