e39 540 auto gearbox probs

Hi mate
I have a e39 540i and the auto box gave up the ghost last year, I managed to find an excellent gearbox specialist garage here in park royal middlesex.
After initially calling around a few so called specialist gearbox places, I got to know that they all sub out there box recon's to other places and charge you a commision when not actually doing the work themselves at all.
This place is hands on and they fully rebuild and recon there boexes in house themselves which can be seen at there premisis. They actually do all the boxes for most of the gargaes around here.
They are experts on the ZF gearboxes in the 540 which apparantly is also used in some Jags and other cars and told me that it is generally a very tough gearbox.
very efficient turnaround, they had my car on a monday, box was taken out, i went down there to see the damage hands on and was rebuilt and refitted by the same week friday at a cost of around 1200 pounds including an uprated rebuild kit and all labour.
Cant recommend them highly enough for any one with gearbox problems on any car especially BMW's.
Place is called Diamond Transmissions and main guy is called Lak.
