Reggie just popped in (given the boundah the day orf from brass polishing) to show me the benefits of twice blown clatter from Munchen.

Quite simply the most incredible car: 3500 rpm @ 140? Utter smoothness? A purposeful snort from the bridge under full schnell? Exceptional damping? Refinement aplenty? Tardis-like internal dimensions (and it being a coup)? Emphatically yes to the lot.

The list goes on and on and on. Handsome thing to boot.

Frankly, I doubt a normal (E39) M5 would keep up.

In fact, shout Reggie? Automotive pistols at dawn, Norfolk's private runway.

ASTONISHING.

I still think the M5 would whip my backside, but it would be fun..........

Just been informed that Ant from Antandpete.co.uk has started work on his new 335d.

Seeing as they took the original 204hp 330d eventually up to 320bhp for the 2005 Gumball, the 286hp (stock) E90 335d should be quite something when done.

Auto only sadly.......
