The halogens need to be masked-pull up to a wall on the flat and tape off the high part of the beam-so the kick up to the left. You can eithewr get a kit from halfrauds or BM or just use duck tape-something that can cope with water.
Xenon are a flick of a switch

DON'T USE A HALFORDS KIT!
I stuck the things to my lights last June and the glue left crazing marks in the plastic of the headlamps.
Doesn't affect the light emitted but just looks a pit tatty.
Now the damage is done I just use gaffer tape, but this is the one time I'd go to your main dealer and get an approved kit.
