Alloy options on a 335i M Sport saloon?
Discussion
From what I can see, there are no optional wheels available, just the std 18's. They just don't do it for me I'm afraid, and I really like the look of the 19's that are available for the 335Ci SE - I presume these would be a straight fit for the 335i, so how come they're not on offer? Could I just buy them from BMW anyway? If so, any idea how much they would cost? Thanks.
I thought the same but the 18"'s are about as big as you want to go for reasonable ride / handling.
If you see a 335i in the flesh then they look good. I was shown a 320d sport as an example and that runs on a different style of 17" wheels which look rubbish.
A set of 19" BBS / Hartge or Alpinsa would probably be the most cost effective upgrade without looking chavvy - circa £1700-£2500 inc tyres I guess

I have a E90 335i M Sport Saloon with the 18" alloys,
although in the flesh the car does look good, i do agree that it would be nice to of had the option to upgrade to the 5 spoke 19's off of the coupe.
Im looking to change my wheels, but cowardly waiting til someone else does first so i can compare pictures and look at costs involved etc...
ride wise, im not sure although the only thing to go on is my dads E46 M3 on 19's, my 335 rides harder! some times its even uncomfortable over really bumpy roads, run flats maybe......

Ask your local BMW dealer for the E92 accesories pamflet and init you'll find a range of optional wheels that are on offer. The 19" wheels (sort of porsche 911 esque) are my personal favs.
Someone selling a set of 19" wheels (without tyres) off a 335i, here: www.bm3w.co.uk/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=508730&an=0&page=0#508730

ps. it's these wheels I'd like, but on a saloon not a coupe...
Coupe looks great, but I need 4 doors.

Flattered you chose my car to discuss the 19" wheels. I've not noticed any downsides ref the ride vs. the 18" I had on my previous 330d. One thing to watch is that they are so big, I've managed to kerb (only slightly) 3 of the damned things already.

There is a 19" M Sport Wheel coming on the E92 M Sport Coupe.
It may be worth looking at those if you are trying to keep the authentic M Sport look.

Do you know where i can find a picture of these?
Yes if you go to www.bm3w.com
There is a section called forthcoming models and if you click on that and find the thread about E92 M Sport. Personally I don't think that they are that great. Indeed I have cancelled my order for an M Sport Coupe and have changed it to a Z4 3.0Si Sport. I personally think that the E92 SE Coupe has more presence than the E92 M Sport Coupe, there was just something that didn't feel quite right about it. Plus it was bloomin expensive.
Great will have a look there. thanks
Personaly i dont like the new coupe or fold-away hard top convertible thingy, i think the roof line of the 'c-c' looks awkward and the car seems to look rushed.
'c-c' cars can look good with the roof up, its just takes better designing. (VW Eos)
Why have BMW tried so hard to win everyone over with their 'edgy' new look and then bring out the coupe / c-c with all long curves and swoops...
The answer... Americans!
Just look at the coupe, its designed for the americans all over!

Catherine - excellent choice with the 3.0i Z4. My boss (aka the wife) has one and when I can get my hands on the keys, it delivers the most wonderful soundtrack. I find myself driving through the airport tunnels at Manchester airport again and again, just so I can hear that engine note bounce of the walls - fantastic motor. It's only the SE model, but press the little sport button and the throttle response is mega. My 335d is a completely different experience - more sedate feeling, whilst brutally quick and great for clocking up thousands of miles / year. Your previous garage makes an interesting read. I nearly went for a Boxster S and looked at the Cayman S, but mileage and practicality put me off in the end.
Hi Reggie, I like the look of your SE and I personally think they represent much better value for money than the M Sport Coupe. Especially when you consider the M Sport appears to have less presence than your own car.
A 3.0 Z4 Coupe Sport was only going to cost a few hundred pounds more than a 320D M Sport Coupe with leather and metallic. To me that didn't sit too well with me.
