Don't seem to be many around - is there anywhere I should be looking other than the PH calssifieds / autotrader / ebay?

Am looking for a 528i or 535i.

Cheers.

The big scrap heap in the sky is probably where most of them are now. Great looking cars, but beware of the tin worm...

The BMW owners club website sometimes has a few listed. Other than that, try the classic car mags.

I love these motors.

If you can get a 535i go for that as you get pretty much the same economy as the 528i due to it running Bosch Motronic fuel injection against L-jetronic in the 528i.

A few come up on Ebay. I sold my '87 525i this year and I already miss it so much.

If you need any questions answering on these motors drop me an email, as I'm an e28 geek.

Thanks Bob! thumbup

Car is almost ready! I was just awaiting the return of the original metric wheels from the refurbishers (for 'show' purposes) and had a call today to say they are ready so I'll pick them up tomorrow. The photos show the car on 16" non-metrics with brand new Continental tyres...far better for actually driving the car on!

A set of new number plates arrived this morning (but the "BMW 528i" Show Plates in the photos will be included). I'm now just awaiting a replacement heater blower fan as the current one has started making the characteristic bearing noise (common E28 fault)...and then that's it...all done! Everything will be working perfectly...yes, even the headlamp wash/wipe!!!

I haven't yet done a full write-up on the car (i.e history, work done etc) or some final photos I want to add. Also haven't determined a final price but if you seriously want to e-mail me to discuss there's a 'contact link' on my website.

Thanks
