Is there a dry-sump kit available for the 4.0 (or 5.0) V8 lump? If so, anyone know where from?
Many thanks.

Maybe ty it at www.ac-schnitzer.de/englisch/index.html ,
they built the M3 GTR for racing..........and winning.
If they cannot supply it or tell you who could,
try out the drag racing community ( "new" here in PH).
There you might find a an engineering shop that could do it,
or maybe sort of "adapt" a system originated for a US V-8.

I'm just curious as to why it's taken you 76 months to post your first thread.
Been busy?
Obviously, I didn't want to be mistaken for a newbie...
Actually - I haven't the faintest idea. I probably didn't see the forums link, erm, err, where's my Bumper Book of Excuses?

If you find one let me know, I can point you in thre right direction for all the parts but not a kit
I only need the pan - all the other bits I can source elsewhere. It's for a racing application, so there's no need for anything to be specifically BMW...
If I can't find one, I'll just have to make one - does anyone know how much structural load is carried by the sump? It looks fairly substantial, but then the plan is to replace it with a reasonably sturdy alternative, just with less aly in it.
