Grateful if anyone has past experience and can help with a minor prob.

Took 'the Bus' as I call it to the dealer to have what I thought was a leaky washer bottle replaced. Sure enough, leak fixed (no water appearing below it on inner wing) tvm. However, the bottle is still emptying overnight and the suggested cause was that the headlight washer isn't closing properly, perhaps because of dirt or ice, and so slowly syphoning the bottle empty. Looks ok but I can hear dripping...

I haven't clambered underneath yet (it was fffreezing today!) to see if the pipe's loose or something, but is there a way of opening the washer to clean it other than being quick with a cloth while someone else sets it off? Dealer suggests a new piston, not dear but an hour's labour on top and anyway fairly busy right now.

Any suggestions would be gratefull received.

Thanks

Common fault that one.the seals in one of your headlamp spray pumps is leaking, unfortunately its sealed and will need replacing.
An hours labour is a bit of a cheek.you need to remove the headlamp, yes, but that takes a good 5 mins...spray pump 10 mins(on a bad day) and lamp back in 5 mins,so 20 mins tops.
