BMW Car Club & MPower Club
Discussion
Ive been a member for a few years and to be honest haven't been able to access any real benefits. Plus the clubs activity in the West Sussex region is slow to dead at the moment. Did experience a bit of snobbery at one event from a club official when I turned up in my Schnitzer modified Compact one year instead of the M3 which was a dissapointment. With that said I do still renew my membership.
Yep, I am in the west sussex region as well.
No meets, no people, I am not sure I have attained any benefits this year,
The mag is a good read at times yet it seems that the community is very clique...
But saying that, I have made some good friends with other members so I suppose its created some 'value'

I have been a member for about 6 years and find that in Scotland at least we are extremely active.
Organising our own events as well as tagging along with others.
There is no snobbery in our region and even no-members are welcome to our event.
We have manged to gain discounts no only with dealers but also independent operators, so much so that BM Motors Law Village 01698 375146 sponsor's our Show and Shine with a free Insp II for the winner.
I think it all depends in where you are and how active your region is.
There were derogatory comments made by some at HQ regarding E30's and that to my mind is disgusting.
no matter what you own you should be welcomed with open arms and that is what happens up here at least

Is it possible to make derogatory comments about the E30?
I do believe you get out what you put in but some sort of activity in the wessex region would allow this.
Rags, not a cecotto but Evo2, same colour as cecotto but I believe their engines were body coloured.

I've been a member for a number of years. Activity depends on which area you live in - some areas very active others dead. It also depends whether your idea of activity is polishing and displaying or driving.
There are a fair few show and shine and display opportunities but far less driving ones.
