Friendly met police bikes!!

well what can I say....all my own fault but some xmas cheer from the boys in blue.
was coming south on A1 last night around 5pm, then A41...notice some bikers behind but then switched off as they tucked in behind some other cars. came into the north london area where it starts to get busy, get hassled by a few novas and scoobys all wanting to check over the CSL but leave them be.
anyways get to the lights, give it some beans onto the 3 lane bit and just cruising at what I thought was about 55 to 60 on a 50 area.
all of a sudden I have the 2 bikes around me, lights flashing and like pull over. I was like SHITE I must have been going.
anyways nice copper, taps down the window asks me if I have been drinking, where I have been and did I realise what speed I was doing? I was like er no, up north seeing friends and no I am afraid I was not sure!
he goes through the motions, says I was doing 75 in a 50 and could get a 6 month ban and fine etc.
i was like very sorry officer I had no idea and what can I say. sorry, sorry and sorry and made sure I did not give a whiff of attitude.
anyways nice comment about the CSL, says a very powerful and rare beast, mind if we have a look around etc. no worries and lots of phews and whistles when the carbon intake comes on show.
he said we heard you leave the lights, disappear like the wind and that must be what all the noise was about. I sheepishly said er yes sir it was.
he says take it easy, does a quick check on the reg docs and me, then lets me on my way.
needless to say I was crawling all the way home and thank god I got a bit of a car nut and nice guy on a good day.
IT COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT WORSE!! I think they are more focused on drink drivers coming home and god forbid I was as sober as a judge!!
