HELP 840CI WARNING SIGN

hi guys i have a warning sign on my pixelated computer ,,, saying "check left head rest" ... or at least i think thats what it says... any ideas and what do i have to do to clear .... as im in ireland and do not have the owners manual with me. hope some one can help ...

DJ, You mention your "pixellated " computer. Is your computer showing dead areas? Have you tried switching off the engine when you get the message then re starting? I sometimes get a similar "O/s Rear No. Plate light " message on mine, but, if I switch off and restart it goes away. Sorry, I can't help more than that, except maybe try giving the recalcitrant headrest a thumping!! Does it make any difference if someone's sitting in the seat?

I used to get a similar message if the seat was left forward and not clicked back. Worth checking the obvious microswitch under the chair that checks for this?

it was the back seat after all.. my brother had pulled the release strap...
computer display is still pixelated though and i think always will be...
