At what speed will this function work upto?

Is it worth 700 notes?

The moment you set off it switches off.

You do still have sound though.

Our X5 has the comms pack fitted and I have to say that the TV is very poor because of the reception quality.

Do you ever find yourself sitting in your car for any length of time e.g. car ferry? If so - yes, if not, not.

You can get a TV in motion cable for about £50 of e-bay. Reception is variable but have had good pictures @ 70mph+, other times poor reception at stand still.

There is a sensor connected to the handbrake. Apparently it can be disconnected very easily.

It still looks at the wheel speed via the instrument cluster

When I went down the options list, doing my usual thing of deciding I couldn't possibly live without most of them, I came to the TV, saw the price, thought it was an utter rip-off and realised that I hadn't missd TV for a moment in the CSL. When I had it in my old M£s, I only ever used it waiting for my wife outside shops.

Cheers chaps. Useful information.

I dont think it is an option I would need so I will spend my 700 notes elsewhere

I don't think it is selling at all well now they have split it off from the satnav. 700 quid is ludicrous!

Then again I'm surprised how many 2nd hand new model 3 & 5s don't even have pro-nav or leather!

i got tv with the wiring kit to watch whilst driving, it's fairly useless as the reception is patchy on the move. also remember digital tv is taking over starting 08 all the analogue sets won't recieve a signal in the near future.

Near future being 2013 according to OFCOM. Not too worried about that just yet.

My M3 had digital tv, however still not worth the money as I hardly ever used it.

I had an 330 Convertible (new in May 06) with digital and analouge TV.

When it worked (at a standstill), I liked it. On the move, you can only really listen to the analouge broadcasts though. On balance, i'd never pay for it.
