Yeah, but you know you want it!!
Beautiful

Beautiful

Any other colour and I would want it, but not nice in white.
Whites not the problem to my eyes, but it needs black (or even maybe grey) Interior with it.
Now Diamond Black with Silver Grey Leather

No, Nimbus Blue with Light grey!!!!
Well, I reckon it's easily worth over £15K.
I have a friend in Northern Ireland who has a very low mileage M635CSi...I can't remember exactly what the mileage is...13-16K miles IIRC. He was once offered £40K for the car...and declined it.
I believe there often comes a point with certain cars where normal market forces go out of the window and can't be used to value certain, individual cars. This car I think probably falls into that category principally based on its apparent condition. Were it's mileage even lower...say sub-30K miles I would reckon its value significantly higher? The lower the mileage the more the disparity in value increases. Many of us saw what my friend's ex-Red E28 went for on Ebay a week or two ago?...£11,300.
I once bought (actually I still own it!) a low mileage E32 735i for THREE TIMES the going rate for a decent E32 at the time...essentially based on it's very low mileage. Would I do it again?...Yep!
Indeed, I would go as far as to say that there has been a marketing problem with that white 635CSi. Only circa 700 hits with only a day to go?! When my friend's E28 was on Ebay by this stage the hit counter was well over 3000 !!! In fact, I only discovered this E24 yesterday! I'm no expert on Ebay selling but a simple thing like the ommission of the words "6 Series" in the title may account for some of this lack of received exposure.
What I think is far more optimistic is the one (even this vendor mentions it) is the one with 170K miles on the clock being offered at £17K !!!?
Ultimately, as I like to say on my website, I believe in the saying:
"The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten."

Yeah, I think the thing that may/will prevent that white one going really 'sky-high' in price is actually the mileage...38K miles whilst undoubtedly very low isn't shockingly different from 60K in a relative sense i.e 38K is too near 40K...I don't know if I'm making sense?...But I hope you see what I mean? I think if it were 28K miles instead of 38K miles you could easily add another £5K to the value to the right person.
Very, very nice indeed!
Hmmmm...But en-balance I think I'm better off keeping my 1998 24K miler 840Ci Sport plus my gonads!

Not worth £15 or anything like it in my opinion. I love the old 6 series, but if you bought this one, you would have to lock it away, put no mileage on it, and keep it in the "unused" condition it's in now, or it will just plummet in value. What's the point of that, these cars are for driving, and lack of use does them no favours.
I would say far better to spend half that money, and buy a car which will not be in concours condition, and will be higher mileage, but will still be a lovely, useable example that will turn heads wherever it's taken.

I totally agree with you Dave...but unfortunately that's the way the market seems to have elected with these very low mileage BMWs.
I have owned my 840Ci Sport for about 9 months now. Outside of necessary mileage inccured to bring it here to Shropshire and get whatever 'work' I wanted done on the car (respray etc) I have added no more than a grand total of...60 miles on open A-road in that whole time!!!
Immensely frustrating...but that is the nature of the market.
If I were now to take my car over, say, 30K miles it would have a significant impact on its re-sale value. As it is, three separate people offered me £20K for the car BEFORE I 'd even done anything to it based on the low mileage alone! Two of whom offered me that before I'd even collected it myself from the supplying dealer!
I then spent close to a further £4K on the car. I'd then have to think: "Well, what would I replace it with?"
This then puts into perspective what someone would have to offer me to part with it?
I guess my point is that ultimately every car will have a buyer!
As Nigel Moseley said to me regarding my car when he saw it: "Well, that car is only set to go up in value!"
To which I said: "Yeah, but I'm not selling this one."
To which he said: "Yeah, but everything is 'for sale'....and if someone offered you the right money for it...you'd still sell it!"
