Anyone know if it's possible/relatively easy to put e34 seats in an e28?

Dan,

It may be possible...but I don't think it's easy at all. I'm certain it wouldn't be a straight bolt-on job for sure!

What's the problem with the ones you have at present? If it's just wear on the front seats and you have a grey cloth interior maybe you could pick up a couple of grey sports seats from the E30...I'm pretty sure they would be a straight bolt in job?

I've been looking at buying an e28 but i'm not fond of the seats that come as standard (apart from the M5 style which are hard to get hold of) - I tend to do relatively infrequent longer journeys, so would like to swap the fronts out for some more supportive ones - hadn't thought of e30 seats, guess they'd do the job?

The E30 Sports/Recaros are the same as the E28 M5...as are the ones fitted in an E28 M535i. Lots of them come up on Ebay. The trouble might be finding ones in good condition to match the colour scheme of your future purchase?
