E39....how do you take the seat backs off ???

Can anyone help me.
The plastic backs to my leather seats need to come off. Can anyone tell me how to do it ? there is no obvious way to get them off and no screws showing etc. Any help would be very welcome. I think the seats are circa 2002 in SE spec.

Look at the bottom of the back panel were it folds under the seat. on either side you will see 2 torx screws. remove them and the panel will swing out then push it up and off it comes

There are no screws. My cloth seats had them but these leather ones don't. The back panel is a different size also. Any ideas ?
