Hi, have bought another BMW after a 5 year Volvo break... Oh why did I wait so long!!!!!

Having moved house in that time I am looking for advice on where to take my new "baby" when it comes to service/mechanical work time. Understand that Smooth Tune @ Stanway, Hallmark @ Maldon and also PMW @ Chelmsford are all good. Can anyone advise me? My nearest dealer is Lind @ Colchester but I have heard mixed reviews. I understand that Lind @ Ipswich are good though. Am happy to travel a distance provided it's worth the journey and that I won't get ripped off!

Any advice would be welcomed.

Thanks

Give PMW Ltd in Chelmsford a ring - 01245 496739. Ask for Peter or Steve

I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Peter Mould is the Proprietor, an M5 owning ex BMW tech who really knows his stuff.

They are very busy, but I have always come away satisfied and their work standards exceed those of my local franchise dealer.

The less said about Lind the better !

Another vote for PMW from me. Always been upfront and honest which is all you can ask.

How are they price wise? Do they have loan cars, or is there enough to do around where they are to occupt a morning/afternoon?

Was there last week. Labour costs £48 per hour plus VAT

5 mins walk from Chelmsford town centre - lots to do

Loan cars - don't think so - but never asked.

I live about 20 miles away and either sit and chat and drink their coffee or go into Chelmsford.

They are quick to turn things around and have never let me down in terms of the car not being ready on time or keeping me informed if parts etc are delayed.
