How much for an inspection2 on an e34 540i??

This is the first time i have had to service a bmw, i live near heathrow but dont mind going a bit out of the way. What does an inspection2 consist of, I mean could i do it myself, or am i looking at a £600 service on a £1k car?? Thanx all
