VANOS failure - Which models?

Just a quick question, regarding VANOS failures.

My '99 2.5 E39 has the M52TU engine, which has Double-VANOS.

Now when I read of these failures, it's always related to the M-power models - and not generically any TU-engined car.

So - my question - is the potential VANOS failure on any TU'd engine, or just the M-power models?

I believe its the S50 thats prone to vanos failure

I hasten to add I don't have an engine problem - just being precautionary - ie - what could I do now to prevent it occurring.
