I believe the answer to this question is a definite yes, but my wife has booked me on a trackday this saturday in the Z4M, however although the car has done 2000 miles the first running in service wont be completed until next week.

I believe I should cancel the track day on the basis that the car hasnt got the right oil and would also need a bit longer to bed in before being tracked.

Correct?

Go for it mate! If you can't get it serviced before the weekend, just check all of the fluids at home, and top up if necessary.

I'm sure your warranty will not be invalidated unless there is a sly data logging element in there, however a particularly picky service monkey could question why you eventually bring in a car for a "running in" service with tyres showing signs of hard use - I'd just shake you by the hand and laugh, however some people can be really boring!

You only live once at the end of the day, however it's your car and you must do what you think is best.
