E36 Window problem

I have a 1994 e36 316 and I have a problem where my driver side window works but I need to keep on pushing the button to take it up or down I cant just hold it in

Hi this is a common fault, usually the sensor that stops you trapping your arm or head in the window.

The sensor usually comes in the window guide. Keep an eye on the window clips as well (white with a circlip on) these break ALL the time, Part number: 51 32 1 938 884.
