Last year there was some talk about a new M1.
Any news lately about it?

Do you mean an 1 Series with an M badge?

I don't believe there will be one of those. The latest information appears to suggest that there might be a 135TI which I guess would be as close as you could get to an M1.

Now i've nothing against the 1 series but if BMW dare to use the holy grail of all BMW words on a humble hatchback ranting there will be trouble!

I understood that to be the reason they wouldnt put an M badge on a 1.

I did hear some rumours of a true M1 replacement - a mid engined V10 M5 powered supercar / GT.

With the market currently flouded with this type of car from £80k to £200+k, it would be a challenge for BMW to place a car in the right part of the market, with the performance to match.

Could a BMW really drag the image consious celeb and footballer from their Astons, Ferraris and Lambos?

I've no doubt they'd be able to make a car that would match or surpass the market dynamically, and perhaps asthetically (keep Bangles pencil case under lock and key!!). The resulting critical acclaim would need to be matched by sales for this to be a viable project.

My car's still for sale, and now has some new pictures! www.pistonheads.com/sales/87132.htm

Dude, no offense but that's like the third time today I've opened a thread to see you plugging your motor.

edit: Make that 4 times now, and in one thread alone you plug the thing 4 times!

Well that issue can be solved

Seriously though, Im sure there's something in the rules against it. The guy who made a thread about his 330i for sale got a bit of a flaming from others. You're just blatantly spamming though. Vixpy's thread is a good example, he asks on opinions on the M5 and the XJR and you say to buy your M3. In both threads!

Is it "a Wonderful Alternative to a Red E46 330i"?

Bit of an in-joke from this tread.

Could this have been more than a little bit due to the thread being headed "A WONDERFUL ALTERNATIVE TO AN M3!", and some having different opinions.

Granted I may have been a bit OTT with posting the link, and appologise if it has caused you offence. thumbup

Last rumor I found is that there are going to use a 3.5L straight six or a 4.0L V8 in the new M1.

And this is a "...wonderful alternative to an E36 EVO..." And well, to just about anything else as well!

This is so flipping good I'd like to submit it as 'Shed of the Week'!....Does anyone know how I do this?

Will e-mail Ted directly as well. I tell you Chaps, if I wasn't running out of space with six BMWs and a 1972 Fiat 500 sitting here...I'd seriously consider buying this!

Is that price just for one? They weren't much more than that new were they?

Give it a Fiat grill, and some Group 4 arches, and white and green italian airways style paint and it would be a giggle.
