2007 BMW Launch Programme
Discussion
I was told the following today about the 2007 Launch Programme (some dates are missing as I didnt ask for them)
1 Series 3 Door (135ti not confirmed)
3 Series Coupe Cabriolet (Will be a Hard Top Cab apparantly not a soft top) - March
New X5 - April
M5 Touring
M3 Coupe - September
I guess only time will tell.

I should also add that the 3 is now returning 34 MPG.

Thats good to hear. I really had to bite hard not to say 'told you so' when I saw your posts about lack of poke AND poor mpg!!!
Maybe you should try a DMS remap. MY MD is getting a new 335d and will be taking it in to them shortly after delivery. I still think you just chop it in for a six cyl though...
Back to topic - looks like 2007 will be an interesting on for BMW dealers..
Oddly the poke is also not so much of an issue anymore. It has done 800 miles and is coming along quite nicely.
Yes on topic, there do seam to be some interesting products coming.
I would be tempted by one or two of the 2007 product range as a Boxster replacement.

I've got 2 X5s on order if you want one Catherine. The waiting list is running away with itself at the moment.

I would like an X5 Diesel, but not too heavily specced (What are yours like Phil?) I think I have ruled out a Z4M Coupe because of the driving position.
I loved the 335i Coupe and started to have thoughts about a 335i M Sport Touring (There are obscene discounts on those already)
I don't think I like the idea of the 3 Series Covertible being a hard top, but I guess we need to see what it looks like.
There is of course the M3!!!!!!!

What's the issue with these and what kind of discounts are out there? Is it that old favourite of sticking "sports" suspension and low profile tyres on a saloon/estate and then finding nobody wants to buy it? Given the way runflats already compromise ride quality I can well imagine a sports suspension could make it completely unacceptable.

The M Sport trim is very popular. Indeed I was told not to buy a 335i SE Coupe as the moment the M Sport comes out (Jan 2007) everyone will want that car.
Our 318i M Sport has very good ride quality (it is fitted with Bridgestone Run flats which won the test that Autoexpress ran last week), certainly when compared to the 120 D M Sport that I drove and hated.

We've not specced them yet but we've bagged the first two slots at this particular dealer and i'll probably spec one of them as a black/black 3.0D sport with comms and the other a silver/black 3.5d (if it's available at launch) with comms etc. Though if I sell the slots prior to being asked for a spec, the customer can choose. I'll only be asking £500 overs too!

Any idea what discounts would be available on a 335i coupe?
I doubt there will be any dizzy off a new Coupe, atleast until they fulfill all their forward order bank and start struggling to sell them.
