M3 servicing costs
Discussion
These prices quoted from the BMW Car Club mag at Stratstone Chesterfield.
M3 E46 Oil Service £189, Inspection 1 £489, Inspection 2 519
Cotswold group quote Inspection 1 £525, Inspection 2 650.
It clearly pays to shop around!
Independent are far cheaper, usually BMW trained and seem to be happy to serve you.

E46 is miles better than E36. Trust me.
Cheaper to service too based on Cotswold BMW figures in BMW Car club magazine
As an E36 owner, I have to agree with the above. If you are in a position to afford the purchase price of an E46 then go for it.
I've driven both, and the E46 is a much nicer drive, more focused performance machine than the E36 (Evo or non-Evo).
If I had the cash, I'd upgrade tomorrow in a flash.
I've had all my servicing done by Emtec in Salisbury (Google it), and they only use genuine BMW parts and are very competetively priced.
MY CAR IS FOR SALE BY THE WAY! WILL GET SOME FRESH PICTURES SOON, BUT GIVE ME A CALL ON 07989 434131 (after Friday 13th Oct when I'm in UK) FOR MORE DETAILS. WAVE £5500 AT ME, AND IT'S YOURS!!
Try Bartley BMW in Southampton - www.bartleyuk.com. All genuine BM parts, 12 month guarantee, loan car, v friendly. Would totally trusty them.
Have not used Emtec in Salisbury - heard that they are pretty good but the cars are packed in like sardines and parked on the pavement on bends etc. Not ideal.
