So, what are the best quality CD's to buy for my 6CD changer for the e46? I've made a few backups of my genuine CD's but they jump terribly. They were undranded ones, i think.

What type of discs play best in the BM changers?

I must admit that I failed to set the right setting on my CD changer when I fitted it - in the E46 its horizontal I think but in the E39 its vertical. There are some setting switches (mechanical) on the side and when set to the correct setting they work fine. I use pretty much un-branded CDs burned at a high speed and it works fine..... might be worth checking....

are these settings easy to find? do you have to pull the whole changer out?

You probably know this already but; the changer (or at least on the Z4) doesn't take CDRW, only CDR (unlike the head unit, which takes both).

I use Philips discs, they never fail to write and never skip.

Yeah take the whole thing out and IIRC then its on the side and you need a screwdriver to move it from one to 'tother...
