I can't fit in an E36 M3 because I'm a bit short in the arm relative to body height and leg length so the steering wheel is simply too far away. In cars like my E39 540i, I extend the column fully outwards.

So, is it possible to have the E36 column extended in some way? 2-3 inches would be ideal.

Also what about the Z3M's - are they also non-adjustable for rake and could they be extended?

Sorry if it sounds simplistic, but have you tried moving the back of the seat more upright? If you're only two to three inches away, that's going to be a lot less trouble than extending a steering column...

Yes, but once it's more vertical than a certain angle, I feel really uncomfortable and I'm not buying an uncomfortable car

E46 M3 is perfect but way out of budget ... banghead
