Cant get ZM Coupe into gear?

My 99 ZM Coupe has now decided that it doesnt like 1st gear or reverse, esp. when the car is up to operating temperature

Symptons as follows

-fine when cold
-when warm I really struggle to engage 1st or reverse from standing, 1st can only be engaged when creeping forwards?
-Gearchange is noticably stiffer for reverse, 1st and 2nd?
-When sitting in traffic with clutch fully depressed ( in first) it feels like the the car is very very slowly creeping? Maybe tghe clutch isnt fully releasing?

Any suggestions?

That's strange, mine sometimes doesn't want to go into first but only when the car is cold.

Common issue is the clutch pipe, which can be replaced with a similar braided item.

yep, as StuB says, you need the braided clutch hose. My MC was awful when I got it - bite point started pretty much on the floor and then proceeded to get lower and lower. Braided hose was amazing, just like getting a new clutch.

Apparently these guys made up a run of the braided hoses for a dealer and can supply you with one directly for about £30 (instead of the £60 I paid) :

I had the same problem and bought my braided hose from the Hampshire hose. Solved thwe problem and in conjunction with castrol srf has made the gear change noticably better.
