Took delivery of our Z Coupe earlier today, managed to spend a whole 10mins grabbing some pics before my Friday night football game in Wapping!

A few snaps:

Having driven a Z4 3.0i convertible a few weeks back has given an interesting insight into BMW's dynamic aims for this car:- its much more focused, and all the better for it. Gone is the slack damping, the fluffy steering & edgy body control, replaced by a decent helping of composure and enjoyment. Of course, the fact that its rare and looks fabulous doesn't sway my opniion at all thumbup Very happy so far.

Not if you pay some other poor sod to clean them

Really impressed with it so far, drove straight to South of France day after delivery so its nearly run in now - engine is actually impressively torquey low down so you can make decent progress shifting up before 4k rpm, although I've had a few forays into 6k rpm and it really picks up and starts to fly. Chassis feels balanced & composed, although the steering is a little too light when getting a move on.
Went for Sport (M seats, wheels, steering wheel, suspension) with SatNav, stereo upgrade, cruise + metallic; it doesn't want for much else.

You let someone else touch your car?

To be honest I've been getting the guys in car-parks to do the wheels only, "Yes thats right wheels only, yes I'll still give you the same money!" Sometimes takes 5 mins to explain that one!
