Z4 3.0 exhaust on a Z4 2.2?

Hi

I wonder if anyone could advise me as to whether a brand new 3.0 exhaust from BMW will fit on a 2.2 engine/manifold?

I have the opportunity to pick up a brand new 3.0 Z4 exhaust but need to be sure that it will fit/won't be any issues/problems with this exhaust on my 2.2.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I would also be interested to hear the answer for this as also looking putting one on my 2.2. I put an induction kit on mine a while ago and this made a big improvement in noise (and a few more MPG!) but now need more!!

according to some excellent advice from www.z4um.com and this website www.realoem.com I did a comparison of the 3.0 litre exhaust and the 2.2 litre exhaust and the flange after the downpipe looks to be exactly the same so have to assume they will fit.

Will let you know if I go ahead and what the outcome was.

Please do! Very tempted to do a sly engine transplant with my sister's 3.0i X3, i'm sure she wouldn't notice!!

I now have the exhaust (figuratively speaking as I have bought it off ebay), will let you know if it fits (Bexley Motor Works are getting a phone call for fitment scope - bless em')

The exhaust I have purchased off of ebay, is as near a new exhaust as damn it from a guy with access to the Alpina workshop. As they ship in the new Z4 3.0l they remove the parts they are going to replace with the Aplina parts, hence the new 3.0l exhaust...

Will let you know the outcome.
