I need to remove the rear door card on a 99 328i SE saloon in order to sort a problem out with the door handle mechanism. I've not done it before and I am determined NOT to screw anything up or to mark the interior.

Has anyone done this, and can give me some tips? I can't even see how the door card would come off!boxedin

While you're at it, any tips on the front doors would be handy too!

Both of my electric window regulators are sounding dodgy. If this is an easy(ish) DIY job, I'll have a go. If anyone knows it to be a right faff where you're best off putting your hand in your pocket and handing the keys over, then that advice would be welcome too....

If it's anything like the E39, removing the door trim is quite easy. Just undo the screw holding the door handle in place, and the trim is held in place by plastic pins that just pop out. On my car I don't need to use a screwdriver or anything, just pull at the right place and take my time!

I managed to change the rear window regulator on mine, but I remember the hard part was getting the glass out, although it isn't too hard if you have the knack!

I'll have another look at the door then, because I couldn't see any screws holding anything in...
