I have been offered a black E36 which has had a 6.2 Chevy V8 fitted, does anyone know this car ?

Nope, but do post pictures and more details if you buy the car! Sounds like quite the monster! The other E36 V8 monster that has surfaced from time to time is, IIRC, a 540 engined one.

There's a guy named Wayne with a Brummie accent, based in the North East who had an LS2 in an E30 at the BMW Car Club national show at Gaydon last year. I know he's built others. The car I saw was absolutely mint, with top quality workmanship and fittings everywhere. I think you might have success posting on bmw-board.co.uk to find out more. Good luck.
