The OEM steering wheel in my MC is on the large side.

This hasn't bothered me too much in the past, but recent drives of an E46 M3 and a Z4M (with much smaller, chunkier wheels) have got me thinking that the breadvan could be improved upon.

Do you think that its possible to fit an M3 wheel and keep all the gubbins such as the airbag and the wheel controls?

If so, are there any companies in/around the South East who could do this job?

Have a look/search at www.z3mcoupe.com Someone did a wheel swap, albeit not the M3 wheel, but something of an even smaller diameter.

Way ahead of you

There may have been some info on the site, but a recent database problem resulted in loads of posts disappearing.

OK, way ahead of me :-)

Apparently difficult/impossible.

Have a look at bimmerfest, eg. www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78093&highlight=m3+steering+wheel or www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16787&highlight=m3+steering+wheel or www.bimmerfest.com/forums/search.php?searchid=2464687

The E46 M3 wheel will simply not fit any Z3 roadsters or M coupes in any year.

That's a pretty definitive answer I'd say!
Maybe time to look at aftermarket ones.

Thanks for the links Rassi
