BMW specialist in the Wimbledon/Putney area

Dear all,

Have just popped across to this forum from the TVR one in the hope that some of you BMW guys can help me out with a querie I have with my mother-in-law's 3-year old BMW 5 series (a 528).

We are looking for a good BMW independent sepcialist in the Wimbledon/Putney area that is trustworthy and doesn't try and rip off mature single ladies like the Wimbledon BMW dealership does. The latest is that she went in to them with a puncture, they replaced not just the puncture but two other tyres as well, got her to come back another day so they could then charge £180 for an inspection of the suspension, and now want to charge her £1,500 more to change wishbones etc.

Without seeing the car myself I can't really comment, but this is not the frst time I've felt that they are doing work that isn't necessary.

I think the car has done less than 10,000 miles

There's a garage called (something like) Maxwell Green Services in Parsons Green (just over the river) who I've used a couple of times. As always, worth getting a quote first. If you can't find them on t'internet, drop me a line and i'll pop the number over to you.
