After all the recent talk of SMG issues in M3's i'd now like to pick the brains of all my Bavariean (sp?) brothers out there. So before i take M to the doctors...sorry garage rolleyes , i'd like to see if anybody else has come accross this problem.

Basicly if your driving along at 60mph ish in what would be deamed as auto mode and bury the throttle, the car depresses the clutch, selects the appropriate gear but what seams like on releasing the clutch it starts to cough a bit and seriously hold back. Everyday driving is still faultless and so far i haven't managed to get the car to bitch about in `manual` mode.

Please help, any andvice or experiance would be appreciated.

M3John.

Yes mate auto mode ie: getting the car to change gear without me touching the gearstick. But if in manual mode ie: me using the gearstick, it hasn't done it as yet.

I was being flippant, because I think the auto mode is rubbish. Try at www.bm3w.co.uk
