Several used M5s for sale this week in the press at £55K, instead of the above-list nonsense that has been prevailing until now.

Yep, prices do appear to have settled down to thier market acceptable figure.

However M6's are still in freefall & coming from a starting point nearly £18K North of the M5, it appears market forces will have the M5 & M6 price matched very soon. I've been seeing 6mth old M6's going for £62K which is a £20K drop in 6mths

From minute one, i thought that the M6 was stupidly overpriced and the M5 well-priced.

The M5 is a bargain. The M6 price wouldn't look tooo silly if it weren't for the M5 (compare it to the competition from Mercedes), but with the M5 so much cheaper, BMW has foolishly set the mark for secondhand M6 prices.

M6's can be had for 62-65k new now! I was offered one only yesterday at 64k and there was room to negotiate further.

Got to be worth it at that price.

I bought my M6 for sub-£65K about 8 weeks ago. Only 5K miles and 5 months old. That's £18K in depreciation over this time!

This was new as well! I think they'll get to 60k before long and 6 month old with demo mileage mid 50's, then it'd be worth buying

Brilliant buy once about 2 years old i'd say.
