Go onto confused.com first and do a search.

Also try www.e36coupe.com as they have a sponsered insurer. (Adrian Flux)

Or try THE INTERNET.

I'm 29 and pay less than £500 fully comp with Direct Line. Had to have a tracker fitted, and have a relatively big excess, but still cheap in my eyes.

I found confused.com still expensive. I tried Masterquote who also search many companies and for my evo convertible, fully comp, £300 excess and protected bonus (7 years), got it for £437!

My quote with Confused.com came in at £1,400 living in the center of London which, untill i started reading this topic, thought was pretty cheep...but obviously not.

Just tried this link and these thiving buggers wanted to relieve me of £2,300 !!! I think i'll stick with my previous quote. Even my £1,400 is a lot to pay at the age of 27 with maximum no claims. Daylight robbery.

guess it depends on where you live mainly then, i thought just over a grand for a 22 year old on an '99 m3 evo coupe was quite cheap as i,m only young, i know people who pay this for a metro!

I just tried this too, 28, 4 NCB on 02' M3 coupe with my bird as a named driver = £2315

Best I have been quoted is with Direct Line/Privilege = £1200

Admiral are insuring me for £1200. I'm 25 with 6 years NCD and the car is parked on the road in an ok-ish area.

Admiral are lifting £2k off me fully comp on my M3 Imola. I'm 21 with 1 year ncb so thought that was ok for a group 20 car!

OH YES MATE THAT IS !!!! . To put things into perspective, i'm 28 (almost) have a clean licence, no crashes or claimes against me and the car is garaged and they still rob me of £1,400.

Hi Guys, admiral wanted 1050 last year, and 1000 this for my evo, 10 years ncd 33years old. but wanted 1300 when i move one postcode closer to town.

I used heritage ins from the bmw owners site, and ended up getting a quote from norton insuranse (highway in the end) and was 900, confused wanted between 950 and 1400 ? madness

The heritage people (norton ins were the brokers who called me) were helpful.

if you have a decient tracker, or garage they can do low mileage classic car / guranteed value of car type policy, so worth a look.

Try Adrian Flux as they my cheapest so far for me. My M3 GT is a LHD Italian import so most insurance companies don't even have it on there system to even get a quote. I used Confused.com and they didn't have one insurer that would give me a quote ... and I'm 31 with 10 years no claims, car is garaged!!

That is very cheap. I'm 21, 4yrs ncd and I pay £2440 including mods (£1673 excluding) on a E46 330. Best quote on a standard E46 M3 was £3500!

Admiral were by far the cheapest both last year and when I came to renew last year, nobody could beat the quote for £880 for my E46 convertible, age 30 with 1 years no claims.
