E46 318 - value ?

So I'm thinking of changing my '99 E46 318SE as it is not really suiting my needs, but seems more difficult to value bcos of the miles.

It's only done 39,500 miles with Full main dealer service history (the last service being done today). Other than that totally standard, has a couple of scratches but nothing major. Autotrader seems to indcate anywhere between about £5K and £7K which is a large margin. Anyone got a better guess ?

Unfortunately due to the new model becoming more common its worth a lot less than it was last month

Still worth £6k imho though

bloody hell my missus won't be too pleased to hear that.
she swapped a Chim (key for key) for a 318 (worth £10K) just over a year ago and now she wants a 4x4, but it doesn't look like she's going to get one now if it's only worth 6K at best (there's around 75K miles onthe clock)

Mine won't have lost any value by the time I come to sell it then which is quite good to know............now just have to work out what to replace it with.
