Proud owner of 535d, however have noticed it has a propensity to wander on the motorway following the tramlines (M25 v bad). My old Isuzu 4x4 did it but then you would expect it from a 2 ton + mobile brick which you had to tack to get round a corner. However would not expect from the beemer, it does of course have the bloody awful run flats at the present time and I suspect these are the main culprits.

Anyone suffer from the same?

Sorry to point out the obvious, but have you checked your tyre pressures?

It's the combination of run-flats and big wheels. My E85 tramlines like you wouldn't believe on anything with the slightest variation in surface.

Religiously. Comes from being a biker.

Big wide tyres tend to tramline. I'm so used to it that I don't notice that I'm constantly correcting for it.

Although very much taken with the overall quality of a humble E60 525d loaner recently, I too noticed this trait.

I suspect my general lust for the splendours of the mighty '35 you drive could be tempered over time by the tendancy.

In contrast, a superb saunter into work this morning in the old jalopy, replete with griptatsic new Sport Contis, had me thinking how for jack of all hoonanigans, this car could be bettered? The composure at 'bahnwelk was, as ever, remarkable.

If ever a chassis needed the E60 M5 motor, this was it!
