Hi all, in the process of selling my TVR cerbera. Im looking for a M3 silly question but does the M3 have a different body to say a 330. it seems to have wider arches etc, but ive never seen the two next to each other. im looking at a 2002 model onwards.

Many thanks

Dan

Yep, the body of the M3 is 'beefed up' from the standard E46 Coupe bodyshape.

Wider Arches, More agressive bonnet and spoilers amongst other bodywork changes.

If you do sit a 330Ci and an M3 next to each other they really do look quite different.

Yes, it has wider arches, an aluminium bonnet with hump to clear the block and a wider track. The bumpers/splitter, mirrors and wheels are obviously different

and yep

You'll also find that they differ on the floor-plan side of things to accomadiate for example the M diff.

Not strictly bodywork talk here but when underneith mine i've noticed all the castings (wishbones/prop/diff/track-rods/wheel hubs/break discs etc) all have the ///M logo cast into them. So if your looking at getting one don't think its just a 3 series with a big engine thrown in.....not insinuating that you would, but just know that some think that way

Hope this is of any help, happy motoring !

M3John.
